Brisbane artists Kate Quinn and Emily Day are hosting a one-day only art experience in Brisbane on Monday the 27th May 2024. You will enjoy a very special day of art, food, and wine, in the divine natural surrounds of Wild Canary cafe, part of the gorgeous greenery of Brookfield Gardens nursery. Running slightly shorter, time-wise, than our usual Blooms, from 9am-3pm, you will learn how to paint a simple floral still life in a small group, in a relaxed and encouraging environment. For this Bloom we will be painting on lovely natural linen boards, leaving exposed background around our subject for a beautiful earthy effect. Suitable for beginners, as well as those with some hobby painting experience, you will spend a day learning new artistic skills while chatting and laughing with new or old friends. At lunchtime we will enjoy a delicious catered lunch, with a glass of wine. After class you can wander through the nursery and homewards store before you head home with your lovely painting and goody bag. Emily and Kate will spread the small class of maximum 16 students into 'acrylics' and 'oils' painting groups, and will provide creative guidance in a non-judgemental, kind and supportive way. If you book with friends we will make sure you are seated together, and if you are coming on your own, we will ensure you are seated next to a friendly group and get extra special care! Emily and Kate look forward to welcoming you to a very unique day in Brisbane. What to bring: Please wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on. All materials, food and drinks are provided. You may wish to bring a cardboard box to help you safely transport your painting home. Paintings are 30x30cm and may not be dry by the end of your class. A note about cancellations: Classes are fully refundable upon request up to 30 days prior to the date you have booked. This allows us to offer your place to another customer. Classes cancelled in the 30 days leading up to the event are not refundable, unless we are able to fill your spot with someone on a waiting list - and in this case we are more than happy to refund you. If in the unlikely event the class needs to be cancelled due to host/artist illness or other unexpected event, we will fully refund participants.

Cancellation Policy

Classes are fully refundable up to 14 days prior to the date you have booked. Classes cancelled in the 14 days leading up to the event are not refundable, unless we are able to fill your spot with someone on the waiting list - in this case we are more than happy to refund you. In the unlikely event the class needs to be cancelled completely due to staff illness/emergency, we will fully refund students affected by the cancellation.
