Service Description

Brisbane artists Kate Quinn and Emily Day, are bringing a 'Mini-Bloom' to the 'What We Make Design Market' at 52 Merthyr Rd, New Farm. It's a simplified, half day version of their usual Bloom workshops! Running on either Saturday the 17th August or 16th November, from 9am-1pm, you will learn how to paint a simple floral still life in a small group, in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Suitable for beginners, as well as those with some hobby painting experience, you will spend a half-day learning new artistic skills while chatting and laughing with new or old friends. We will be creating a simple floral still life on a natural linen board, for you to take home. A simple, yummy lunch will be provided at 11.30, and class will finish by 1. Emily and Kate will divide the small class (maximum 18 students) into 'acrylics' and 'oils' painting groups, and will provide creative guidance in a non-judgemental, kind and supportive way. If you book with friends we will make sure you are seated together, and if you are coming on your own (many people do), we will ensure you are seated next to a friendly group and get extra special care! This mini-Bloom costs $160 per person for a half day workshop, and includes all materials and lunch. A note about cancellations: Classes are fully refundable upon request up to 30 days prior to the date you have booked. This allows us to offer your place to another customer. Classes cancelled in the 30 days leading up to the event are not refundable, unless we are able to fill your spot with someone on a waiting list - and in this case we are more than happy to refund you. If in the unlikely event the class needs to be cancelled due to host/artist illness or other unexpected event, we will fully refund participants.
